&lt;p&gt;My Gedcom has lots of names of individuals and locations in Germany with an unlaut in it. For example,
&lt;span style="color:black"&gt;Munstermaifeld is the way M&lt;/span&gt;&amp;uuml;nstermaifeld is displayed after the file has been built. How do I get this to show up correctly? I suspect it has to be in&amp;nbsp; the construction of the Gedcom itself, as I know that the umlauts
 can be displayed correctly.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Today I have downloaded and ran UncelGED and very much like what it does. And best of all, it is free. Thank you.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;However, when I choose to have it save the output to a folder other than &amp;quot;My Documents/My UncleGED&amp;quot; it does not put all the needed files in the alternate folder. I have to copy everything from &amp;quot;My Documents/My UncleGED&amp;quot; to the alternate folder. Just a small
 step, but why have this option in the program, if it does not work correctly.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Also you need to have the program rebuild the &amp;quot;My Documents/My UncleGED&amp;quot; if it should get deleted. The UncelGED crashes if it does not find this folder on startup.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There is also a checkbox for having the menu at the top of the family pages. I can find no difference whether this box is checked or not.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;</description><author>DrKildare</author><pubDate>Mon, 11 Jul 2011 01:34:48 GMT</pubDate><guid isPermaLink="false">New Post: Project Saved Location 20110711013448A</guid></item><item><title>New Post: Feature request: OBJE images</title><link>http://uncleged.codeplex.com/discussions/264593</link><description>&lt;div style="line-height: normal;"&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It would be nice if attached images were included with the output.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I also ran into an issue in which a birth year is not defined for a person. When hitting the chronology page, everyone is clustered together in the 1300 block. Other than that, good job&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I recentlly decided to remove my e-mail address from my UncleGed pages for two reasons&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;1) I didn't want to make it easy for robots etc to collect my e-mail address&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2) Some webmail applications appear to have difficulty with the 'mailto' command&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I modified the project to remove my e-mail address and then rebuilt the pages&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;When I checked the pages the Author's name had also disappeared&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Is there any work round for this or do I need to manually edit each page (&amp;gt;150 !!) to remove the e-mail address&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;new user here.&amp;nbsp; UncleGED seems to do all I want it to do with my gedcom file.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;but we have some collateral info, other websites we would like to put links to.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Is there an easy way to do this without having to edit the html after the fact?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;thanks.&lt;/p&gt;

        &lt;p&gt;The problem might be due to an entry in the CSS file. Just
          above the Images settings on  the General tab are settings
          regarding the CSS file.&lt;/p&gt;
        &lt;p&gt;If you find and open up the CSS file with NotePad (or any
          text editor). You may see some entries in the body tag that
          reference the background image.&lt;/p&gt;
        &lt;p&gt;You can edit the entries regarding background or just comment
          them out. Here is an example with the entries commented out by
          surrounding the lines with /* */:&lt;/p&gt;
        &lt;p&gt;body&lt;br&gt;
          {&lt;br&gt;
           margin-left: 100px;&lt;br&gt;
           color: black;&lt;br&gt;
           font-family: tahoma;&lt;br&gt;
           /*background-attachment:fixed;*/ &lt;br&gt;
           /* background-repeat: repeat;*/  &lt;br&gt;
           /* background-image: url('images/ug_bkgrd.gif');*/ &lt;br&gt;
          }&lt;/p&gt;
        &lt;p&gt;It is kind of screwy but the settings in the CSS file
          override the Image settings in the configuration file. Those
          settings are a leftover from the earlier versions that did not
          use the CSS file.&lt;/p&gt;
        &lt;p&gt;As to the last change date appearing on the index.html (home
          page), I will make that change in the next release which
          should be out today.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;also, I recently asked whether the &amp;quot; last updated &amp;quot; could be not shown, and you replied that it was working ok, ,&amp;nbsp; I now realise that you were referring to the&amp;nbsp;&lt;span style="text-decoration:underline"&gt; name index page,&lt;/span&gt; whereas I was referring to the &lt;span style="text-decoration:underline"&gt;index.html&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;page {starting page}&amp;nbsp; , is there a way of preventing this showing.&amp;nbsp; ??&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Here's a section of the .ged:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;1 NAME Joyce /****/&lt;br&gt;1 SEX F&lt;br&gt;1 BIRT&lt;br&gt;2 DATE 30 NOV&lt;br&gt;1 FAMS @F355@&lt;br&gt;0 @I526@ INDI&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;and here's what it converts it to (I've put in *** for the last names as they're still alive):&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Bradley *****, son of **** , was born 29 March 1958. &lt;br&gt;He married Joyce **** 19 May 1990. &lt;br&gt;Joyce **** was born November 2010.&lt;/p&gt;
